The Hawaii Children's Discovery Center is a world-class interactive center.
Kids are invited to explore, experiment and play with interactive exhibits, using their senses of touch, sight, hearing, and smell to
better understand themselves and the world around them.
The center has sections dedicated to different subjects:
- "Your Town" where kids can play grown-up roles in a kid-size town complete with a court of law,
post office, police department, etc. In this town a kid can be a judge, a firefighter, or a
mechanic fixing a car.
- "Fantastic You" section allow the kids to explore the wonders of the human body with many fun
interactive exhibits;
- "Hawaiian Rainbows" section displays the Hawaiian cultures and traditions;
- "Your Rainbow World" allow kids to explore different cultures from around the world and visit some
countries such as China, Japan, India, and Portugal.
- "Storybook" section has illustrations and displays from well known fairytales and children's books.
- Other sections include "Imagination Station", "Lynne's Library", "Tot Spot" and "the Toy Box".
The center closes early during the week (1:00pm), so you'll need to get there early to allow your kids to enjoy all the different exhibits.
